This project won a Sustainability award for the way it reused, recycled and repurposed material.
The client gave us a number of requirements: be sustainable, be affordable, andhave ‘wow’ factor. The solution was to adopt biophilia as the driving philosophy of the project.
Biophilia is all about embracing nature. But while sustainability looks at how humans affect the environment, biophilic theory explores how nature impacts humans.
We used recycled wood, an abundance of plants and abstract patterns based on the geometric shapes found in flowers. The space planning focused on versatility, so we created an open plan office with a variety of seating options and break out spaces.
